Cotton (Seraphina) is Cloud's fraternal twin sister, and a member of the elite Valkyrie forces. She and her sister are also direct descendants of Ixia del Marca, even though Cloud resembles her appearance more, and Cotton has her fighting talents. Cotton was abandoned as a child during the Second Sahar War, along with Cloud. They were both rescued by an elven warlock, Rei, who took them in as her own daughters.
Being a prodigy in elven magic, she is quickly noticed by the elite group Valkyrie, and immediately recruited into their ranks.
Further into the series, during the march to Decomus city, she is severely wounded and goes missing along with the majority of the Alliance that participated in the mission.
Cotton can be easily described as a 'bundle of joy'; rarely upset or angry about anything in particular. She treats her friends as if they were her own family, and tries to avoid conflict as much as possible. The only times where she is shown angry are mostly moments when her friends and loved ones are endangered.
She is also a strong believer in true love.
AppearanceCotton has a similar hairstyle to Cloud, except that hers is is a bright blond like their mother's, and is a longer length due to her more lady-like nature. She sometimes wears hairclips to keep her front hair from falling over her eyes. She has the same blue eyes as her sister.
As a child, Cotton often dressed in bright-pink or white dresses with a yellow sash loosely tied around her waist.
- Just like Cloud, she has absolutely no skill in cooking; usually ending up mixing horribly wrong ingredients.
- She is one of the few people that speaks and understands the forgotten Decomian language.
- Depending on the course and 'emotion' of the series, Cotton may or may not die in Volume 2.
